Community Database
Community Batch Database
Approved, moderated user-submitted freeze-drying batches with permanent community IDs, weights, cycle data, results, rehydration and photos.
COMMUNITY SUBMISSION
Records here are moderated before publishing. Every numeric field carries its data label, and sample size n is always shown.
Permanent community IDs
Every approved submission receives a permanent ID in the JFD-COM series, for example JFD-COM-000001, JFD-COM-000002. These IDs are used only for community submissions and never reuse Lab IDs, which use the separate JFD-LAB series in the Freeze Drying Lab.
Moderated before publishing
Submissions arrive with the site owner, not the front page. Each record is reviewed (Pending, Approved, Rejected or Needs Clarification) and only approved records are published as structured community batch pages with their JFD-COM ID.
Data labels on every number
Each value shows whether it was USER REPORTED, CALCULATED, a COMMUNITY OBSERVATION, or COMMUNITY TESTED. Community records never carry the words Verified, Tested or Lab Tested, and weight reduction is never called moisture content.
Approved batch records
n = 0 approved community submissions.
No approved community batches yet.
There are zero approved batch records at launch. Records appear here only after a real submission is moderated and approved by the site owner (Submit Batch, then owner review, then an approved permanent record), so the count stays honest.
Be the first to submit a batchSample size is always shown
Every community statistic shows its sample size n. With one submission we say "1 Community Submission" and show no typicals; with more data, ranges are stated as "Community submissions ranged from..." and never as "the correct cycle is...". Tiny samples are never aggregated misleadingly.
Calculated, never inferred
Weight Reduction % is labeled "Calculated from user-submitted weights" and is never called moisture content: weight loss alone is not a moisture measurement. Community data never alters manufacturer specifications, Food Encyclopedia classifications or site safety guidance.
How each batch page is structured
When an approved record is published it renders at a page like /community/batches/jfd-com-000001/ with every approved community batch ID. This is the template architecture, ready for the first approved record:
| Batch page section | Data label | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Community Batch ID | Identity / link field | |
| Food | Identity / link field | |
| Submitter | Identity / link field | opt-in public credit shows "Submitted by [chosen name]" with optional promotion links; otherwise the record shows "Anonymous submission". Credit details are submitter-provided, not verified |
| Machine | Identity / link field | linked to the model page in the Stage 19 equipment database |
| Preparation | USER REPORTED | |
| Batch Size | USER REPORTED | fresh and dry weights, unit shown |
| Cycle | USER REPORTED | any machine reading shown as User-Reported Machine Reading |
| Results | COMMUNITY OBSERVATION | including the Submitter Assessment |
| Rehydration | COMMUNITY TESTED | Community Tested Ratio where weights were supplied |
| Powder Potential | COMMUNITY OBSERVATION | |
| Photos | USER REPORTED | labeled Submitted by Community User |
| Problems | USER REPORTED | |
| Lessons | USER REPORTED | |
| Community Notes | COMMUNITY OBSERVATION | |
| Related Food Guide | Identity / link field | links to the Food Encyclopedia page |
| Related Machine | Identity / link field | links to the equipment model page |
| Similar Batches | Identity / link field | other approved records with the same food or machine |
