Visual Types
Every visual on this site carries one of these labels. The label is written out in text, never implied by color or a frame alone.
DIAGRAM
A conceptual drawing that shows how something works, such as the freeze-drying cycle or a vacuum system.
ACTUAL TEST PHOTO
A real photograph from a documented WeFreezeDryIt test. None exist on the site yet, so none are shown; this label appears only when real Lab records are published.
EXAMPLE PHOTO
A photograph presented as an example, always captioned as an example and never as a test record.
COMPARISON
Two or more states side by side, such as good vs poor heat seals or better vs overloaded trays.
CHECKLIST
A compact checkable list of steps, useful for printing beside the machine.
VIDEO
A moving demonstration. The Video Center stays empty until the owner supplies real video links; nothing is auto-picked.
Actual Test Photos appear only when real Lab records exist. Until WeFreezeDryIt publishes documented tests, no figure on this site is an actual test photo, and none is labeled or implied to be one.
Labeling Rule
How Visuals Are Labeled
The Visual Center uses the same evidence discipline as the Lab and the rest of the Manual. A figure is either an Educational Illustration (conceptual, labeled as such) or an Actual Test Photo (a real documented WeFreezeDryIt record). The two are never blurred.
Educational Illustration
A simple conceptual figure showing what to look for, what to do, what to avoid, or what good (and bad) looks like. Always carries the visible Educational Illustration chip. It answers visual questions without pretending to be evidence.
Actual Test Photo
A genuine photograph tied to a published Lab record, labeled with its Lab context. None exist yet. When real records are migrated, they appear only in the Lab and the Before & After Library, never as decorative filler.
