Food intended for animals is regulated separately from human food in Panama, and the Ministry of Agriculture (MIDA), through its Dirección Nacional de Salud Animal, handles the sanitary registration of animal foods. Animal food is a separate regulatory track
Panama human-food rules under MINSA do not automatically govern animal food. If your product is pet food, animal food, feed, or a treated animal product, you are on the agriculture-health track, not the human-food track. The two registrations are different, and this page never applies one country's human-food rules to pet food or vice versa.
