What the Results Mean
Weight removed, dry yield, weight reduction and average tray load are derived from the weights and tray count you entered. Weight removed is fresh minus dry; dry yield is dry divided by fresh; weight reduction is the removed weight divided by fresh; average tray load is fresh divided by the tray count. They are calculated from your numbers, matching the definitions used in Batch Documentation.
Your entries stay on this device and in this page. The Copy Summary action copies a readable record to your clipboard; Export CSV Line downloads one comma-separated line you can paste into a spreadsheet; Print Log prints the page. None of them send anything anywhere.
A completed log that documents a genuine WeFreezeDryIt test can become a source record for the Freeze Drying Lab, the real-world testing and documentation program. The Lab Methodology & Transparency page explains how source records are handled: they stay private, and a published record is built only from real, verifiable testing.
The Formulas
- Weight Removed = Fresh − Dry
- Dry Yield % = Dry ÷ Fresh × 100
- Weight Reduction % = (Fresh − Dry) ÷ Fresh × 100
- Average Tray Load = Fresh ÷ Number of Trays
Important Limitations
- This is a user-entered log, not a laboratory record. If a verified WeFreezeDryIt test later becomes a Freeze Drying Lab Record, that record would be published only after real verification; user-entered logs are never automatically published.
- Browser storage is not used: entries vanish when the page is closed or reloaded, so export or copy anything you want to keep.
- Calculated values are only as reliable as the entered numbers, so weigh carefully and record the same way every time.
