What the Finders Compares
The shortlist is produced from the fields in the verified model database: market tier, published fresh-batch and ice capacity, tray count and calculated tray area, pump type, electrical requirements, dimensions, operating environment, warranty and price. A machine appears in the shortlist when its published fields are consistent with your answers. A machine with an unpublished electrical requirement is never assumed to fit your circuit: the constraint is surfaced instead.
Why It Never Returns One Machine
A single "best" machine would require ranking machines, and ranking requires scoring claims that this site deliberately does not score. Different machines fit different weekly volumes, products, rooms and budgets. The finder shows you the set that fits, and the final check always happens on the official manufacturer page, where pricing, models and specs are current.
