Freeze-Dried Meal Builder
This is a foundation page for a future Freeze-Dried Meal Builder tool. The inputs and outputs are defined here, but the tool does not compute anything yet, and no ratios are fabricated: dry quantities can only be honest once real batches generate real numbers.
Future Inputs
The builder will ask you to choose:
Protein
The freeze-dried cooked meat or poultry the meal will carry.
Vegetable
Which dried vegetables join the meal, chosen for rehydration pace.
Starch
Rice, pasta or another starch, the component that absorbs the most water.
Sauce / Seasoning
The sauce base or dry seasoning that ties the meal together.
Serving count
How many single servings the build should produce.
Your own target portions
Serving size is a personal choice, so the future tool will ask you to state it rather than assuming a standard.
Future Outputs
The builder will return, clearly labeled as starting suggestions, not tested formulas:
Dry quantities
Proposed grams of each dry component per serving, based on your chosen portions.
Packaging
Suggested package count and layout: single-serve pouches or a family jar.
Rehydration estimate
A labeled Starting Water Estimate per serving, with an adjust-gradually instruction.
Why Nothing Is Computed Yet
Dry quantities, water estimates and packaging counts depend on real yields, and the honest yield picture for each ingredient comes from actual batches. Until WeFreezeDryIt Lab records exist, any ratio this tool returned would be invented. The future builder will therefore start from your own numbers, link the existing calculators (Yield, Raw Food Required, Package Quantity, Batch Cost), and always label its water suggestions as estimates to adjust gradually.
