Complete Freeze-Dried Meals

A complete meal is the combination of protein, vegetables, starch and sauce rebuilt from individually dried components with water. Every dish below shows its Dry Use, Rehydration method, Water Starting Point and Serving Method. Water amounts are starting estimates, never tested ratios, and rehydrated meals are perishable, so leftovers follow normal food-safety rules.

General Recipe General Recipe guidance, not tested results.

Build: Freeze-dried ground meat or beef, beans, tomato powder and chili seasoning.

Dry Use
Combine the dry ingredients in a pot, then add hot water gradually.
Rehydration
Simmer gently, stirring, until the meat and beans are tender and the chili thickens.
Water Starting Point
Estimate. Starting Water Estimate: about 350 to 450 mL hot water per single serve. Simmering reduces it to the right thickness.
Serving Method
One generous bowl per 90 g dry mix.

Build: Freeze-dried chicken or vegetables, curry powder or paste, coconut milk or stock.

Dry Use
Warm the sauce base first, then add the freeze-dried protein and vegetables.
Rehydration
Simmer gently until everything is tender and the sauce thickens; keep pieces submerged.
Water Starting Point
Estimate. Starting Water Estimate: about 250 to 350 mL liquid per single serve, added gradually.
Serving Method
One serving per 70 g dry mix, served with hot rice.

Build: Freeze-dried cooked meat, quick-cook or freeze-dried pasta, tomato powder, seasoning.

Dry Use
Combine dry pasta, meat and tomato powder in a pot, then add hot water gradually.
Rehydration
Simmer gently until the pasta and meat are tender, keeping the sauce loose enough to coat.
Water Starting Point
Estimate. Starting Water Estimate: about 250 to 350 mL hot water per single serve; pasta absorbs eagerly.
Serving Method
One plate per 85 g dry mix.

Build: Freeze-dried cooked rice, protein and mixed vegetables, plus a sauce to finish.

Dry Use
Combine everything in a covered bowl and add hot water gradually.
Rehydration
Rest, covered, stir, and top up in small amounts; rice is the slowest part.
Water Starting Point
Estimate. Starting Water Estimate: about 250 mL hot water per single serve, added in stages.
Serving Method
One bowl per 80 g dry mix.

Build: Freeze-dried protein, vegetables, starch and a sauce base layered or mixed in a dish.

Dry Use
Mix the dry ingredients with enough sauce so everything is coated, then bake.
Rehydration
The sauce rehydrates during baking; check the thickest piece with a fork before serving.
Water Starting Point
Estimate. Starting Water Estimate: extra sauce or a splash of water if the dish looks dry mid-bake.
Serving Method
Portion by your prepared dish size.

Build: Freeze-dried cooked beef or chicken, mixed vegetables, broth or gravy base.

Dry Use
Add the dried meat and vegetables to hot water or stock and stir.
Rehydration
Simmer gently until the meat and vegetables rehydrate to your preferred tenderness.
Water Starting Point
Estimate. Starting Water Estimate: about 350 mL hot water or stock per single serve.
Serving Method
One hearty bowl per 80 g dry mix.

Build: Freeze-dried vegetables, optional meat, starch and seasoning in a jar or pouch.

Dry Use
Add hot water gradually and stir.
Rehydration
Let it rest so vegetables rehydrate evenly, then taste and adjust.
Water Starting Point
Estimate. Starting Water Estimate: about 350 to 500 mL hot water per single-serve bowl.
Serving Method
One bowl per single-serve jar.
