Starting Water Estimate
All water amounts on this page are starting estimates, not tested ratios. Add liquid gradually, stir or rest, and adjust to the texture you want.
- Beef rehydrates best in hot liquid with time: gentle simmering beats a fast soak.
- If you prefer softer beef, rehydrate it in warm broth before adding the vegetables.
Serving
One serving per 80 g dry mix, about a hearty bowl.
Storage
Store the dry mix sealed, cool and dark. Once water is added the stew is perishable: serve promptly and refrigerate leftovers.
Storage depends on your packaging, dryness and conditions. See the Storage Center and the packaging guides for honest shelf-life guidance; no shelf-life claim is made on this page.
Notes
Freeze-dried meat may be rehydrated first or added directly to liquid dishes; stews work well either way because the dish holds plenty of liquid.
Food safety: follow the food-safety guidance for handling and storing this food before and after rehydration.
