Rehydration

Starting Water Estimate

All water amounts on this page are starting estimates, not tested ratios. Add liquid gradually, stir or rest, and adjust to the texture you want.

  • Bring the water to a boil, add the dry ingredients, and stir.
  • Let it simmer or rest, covered, until the pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Check texture before serving; a splash of hot water fixes a dry pot, extra resting fixes a firm one. Times vary, so treat them as estimates.

Serving

One pot per hiker, portioned to your own appetite.

Storage

Package the dry dinner in a sealed pouch away from humidity; rehydrated pasta is perishable and should be eaten promptly.

Storage depends on your packaging, dryness and conditions. See the Storage Center and the packaging guides for honest shelf-life guidance; no shelf-life claim is made on this page.

Notes

The dry-to-cooked weight is your own packing math: lighter packs are the point, without any nutrition or performance claims.
