Freeze-Dried Ingredients
- • Freeze-dried strawberry slices or pieces (fully dry)
Fresh Ingredients
- • None, for the powder itself
Preparation
- Begin with fully dry, brittle berries. Any flexible piece means the batch was not fully dry and will not powder cleanly.
- Grind in short pulses in small batches so the powder stays cool and pink.
- Sift through a fine mesh strainer and grind the larger bits once more.
Rehydration
Starting Water Estimate
All water amounts on this page are starting estimates, not tested ratios. Add liquid gradually, stir or rest, and adjust to the texture you want.
- Use dry: mixed straight into yogurt, frosting, cake batter or smoothie mix.
- To make a quick strawberry syrup for drinks, whisk the powder into a little warm liquid gradually, stirring out lumps.
Serving
A teaspoon or two flavors a smoothie or yogurt bowl; adjust to taste.
Storage
Powdered strawberry is very moisture- and light-sensitive. Seal tightly, store cool and dark, and keep it away from steam while cooking.
Storage depends on your packaging, dryness and conditions. See the Storage Center and the packaging guides for honest shelf-life guidance; no shelf-life claim is made on this page.
Notes
Strawberry powder behaves as a flavor and color ingredient, not a fresh-berry replacement: it does not add juice or body, so adjust liquid in recipes.
