Ingredients
- Fully dry freeze-dried vegetables (tomato, beet, carrot, spinach or onion)
Freeze-Dried Ingredients
- • Freeze-dried vegetable pieces, fully dry and brittle
Fresh Ingredients
- • None, for the powder itself
Preparation
- Confirm the vegetables are fully dry; any flexible or leathery piece will not powder cleanly.
- Grind small batches with short pulses.
- Sift through a fine mesh strainer and re-grind coarse bits.
- Keep each vegetable powder separate until you know how it behaves.
Rehydration
Starting Water Estimate
All water amounts on this page are starting estimates, not tested ratios. Add liquid gradually, stir or rest, and adjust to the texture you want.
- Whisk vegetable powder into sauces, soups or batters to hydrate it directly in the dish.
- Small amounts of powder disappear into a sauce; a teaspoon at a time is easier to control than a scoop.
Serving
Start with 1 teaspoon and taste; powders concentrate flavor quickly.
Storage
Powders absorb humidity fast. Seal tightly, store cool and dark, and label each jar with the vegetable and date.
Storage depends on your packaging, dryness and conditions. See the Storage Center and the packaging guides for honest shelf-life guidance; no shelf-life claim is made on this page.
Notes
Vegetable powders are not interchangeable: tomato, beet, carrot, spinach and onion each add their own flavor, color and moisture behavior. No nutrition, health or supplement claims are made here.
